Carlyle Closes $13B US Corporate Buyout Fund

Law360, New York (November 25, 2013, 12:39 PM EST) -- The Carlyle Group LP has closed a $13 billion fund focused on corporate buyouts and strategic minority investments across six industries, the global asset manager announced Monday.

The investment vehicle, dubbed Carlyle Partners VI, is backed by 269 investors from 43 countries, who boosted the fund by $3 billion over its original target level designated when Carlyle began fundraising in late 2011, it said.
