Sandy Flood Insurance Suits Must Come Within 1-Year Limit

Law360, New York (November 25, 2013, 5:13 PM EST) -- Even though the Federal Emergency Management Agency recently provided Superstorm Sandy victims a break by extending a one-year deadline to submit a proof of loss to federal flood insurers, that does not change the one-year time limit for policyholders to sue to challenge a denied claim, FEMA clarified Thursday.
