US Ex-Im Bank Loans $61M For Costa Rica Wind Farm Project

Law360, New York (November 26, 2013, 4:07 PM EST) -- The U.S. Export-Import Bank said Tuesday that it has approved a $61.1 million direct loan to a unit of Costa Rica-based wind generation company Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy for the purchase of wind turbine generators for a 50-megawatt wind farm in the Central American nation.

The turbines are being manufactured by a Pennsylvania-based assembly plant owned by Spain-based turbine company Gamesa Corporacion Tecnologica SA and will be used in GME unit Inversiones Eolicas de Orosi Dos SA's Orosi wind farm project, located in the Costa Rican province...
