Conn. Chiropractor Groups Settle Antitrust Charges

Law360, New York (March 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two Connecticut chiropractic associations and one of their attorneys have agreed to settle charges that they orchestrated an illegal anti-competitive boycott of a Connecticut-based health insurer.

Under the terms of the settlement, the Connecticut Chiropractic Association Inc. will pay a $50,000 penalty, the Connecticut Chiropractic Council will pay $20,000 and attorney Robert Hirtle will pay $17,000. The three defendants also agreed to adopt several education and compliance measures.
