Belo's Brazil Gold Mine Plan Gets Enviro Regulators' Nod

Law360, New York (December 2, 2013, 4:19 PM EST) -- Belo Sun Mining Corp. won approval from Brazilian environmental regulators for its Volta Grande gold mine after a judicial inquiry threatened to derail the project yet again, the company said on Monday.

Belo has drilled exploratory holes to assay the mineral content and measured the future mine to contain 5.1 million ounces of gold, an upwards revision from the 4.7 million discovered in April.
