AfDB Drops $162M On Congo Infrastructure, Water Projects

Law360, New York (December 2, 2013, 5:51 PM EST) -- The African Development Bank Group on Wednesday approved nearly $162 million for water sanitation projects and the construction of roads and power plants to reinforce the socio-economic infrastructure in the two Kasai provinces in the central region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The DRC will receive a total of $161.92 million, or UA 100 million plus €5.95 million ($8.06 million), in the form of three grants and one loan to finance drinking water supply and sanitation, health, education, roads, bridges and micro hydroelectric power plants...
