Ex Wal-Mart Executive to Plead Guilty: Report

Law360, New York (January 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Former Wal-Mart vice chairman Thomas Coughlin has decided to plead guilty to wire fraud and tax evasion charges, according to a published report.

Coughlin, the tarnished no. 2 executive at the nation’s largest retailer, is expected to enter a guilty plea when he appears later this month in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday in its online edition.
