Upside Of A Downturn: Big Business For Bankruptcy

Law360 (March 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- As the credit crunch worsens, analysts are predicting a surge of corporate bankruptcies in 2008. That grim forecast may soon translate into big business for bankruptcy attorneys, and law firms around the United States are already laying the groundwork for a busy year.

More than 15 companies have filed for bankruptcy protection so far this year, including gadget retailer Sharper Image, plastics maker Wellman Inc. and technology magazine publisher Ziff Davis Media Inc.
