US Exports Hit Record $192.7B In October

Law360, New York (December 4, 2013, 7:17 PM EST) -- U.S. exports hit a record $192.7 billion in October, helping decrease the U.S. trade deficit in a month where imports still exceeded exports by roughly $40.6 billion, the U.S. Commerce Department said Wednesday.

October’s exports, which were nearly 2 percent higher than September’s $189.3 billion in exports, helped narrow the trade deficit from $43.0 billion in September, when the U.S. had roughly $232.3 billion in imports, according to a report by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
