House Passes Bill Rolling Back Dodd-Frank Measure

Law360, Los Angeles (December 4, 2013, 9:21 PM EST) -- The U.S. House of Representatives passed a measure Wednesday that would undo a Wall Street reform established through the Dodd-Frank Act by exempting nearly all private equity fund advisers from registration requirements with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Small Business Capital Access and Job Preservation Act, or H.R. 1105, would amend the Investment Advisers Act by allowing private equity fund advisers to shake off regulatory burdens that may hinder their ability to provide capital to growing companies.
