Southern Capital Offers $111M For Malaysian Higher Ed Co.

Law360, New York (December 5, 2013, 2:14 PM EST) -- Malaysian higher education holding company HELP International Corp. received a buyout offer valued at about 359.3 million ringgit (US$111.3 million) from Southern Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on midmarket investments in Southeast Asia, according to a statement Thursday.

The offer, dated Dec. 5, proposes an all-cash transaction with HELP investors receiving 2.53 ringgit per share conducted through Southern Capitals' Better Education Enterprise Sdn Bhd, according to the offer letter.
