Microsoft Starts Document Interoperability Initiative

Law360, New York (March 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Responding to international anti-competitive complaints, Microsoft Corp. revealed an initiative on Thursday that would expand interoperability between its programs and the rival programs of developers, partners and other competitors.

Under its Document Interoperability Initiative, Microsoft has committed to implementing “a set of strategic changes in its technology and business practices to expand interoperability through the implementation of its interoperability principles,” the company said.
