Paris Court Bounces Boeing Suit To U.S.

Law360, New York (March 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The families of the victims of a 2004 airplane crash must seek retribution in a U.S. court, a French appeals court has ruled.

A Paris court ruled on Thursday that the civil suit against Boeing and three other U.S. companies must be heard in the United States, according to an organization representing many of the 148 crash victims.

Marc Chernet, the president of the organization, said that the court had found that the case did not fall within it's jurisdiction, according to numerous reports.
