Intel Wins Court Support In Fight Over AMD Study

Law360, New York (March 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Intel Corp. is one step closer to getting its hands on a damaging report commissioned by rival Advanced Micro Devices Inc. after a court official overseeing discovery in the pair's antitrust battle recommended its release.

Dismissing AMD's claims of confidentiality, Special Master Vincent Poppiti has recommended that the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware grant Intel's motion to compel production of the study.

The study claims $60 billion of Intel's profits over the past decade are attributable to anti-competitive behavior.
