DOE Pumps $13M Into Solar Power Technology Projects

Law360, New York (December 11, 2013, 2:34 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Energy will provide $13 million to five projects focused on developing cost-effective ways to manufacture solar power system components in an effort to strengthen domestic manufacturing and speed commercialization of solar power technologies, according to a Wednesday statement.

The funds are part of the DOE’s SunShot Initiative, which is working to help lower the cost of solar electricity to increase U.S. competitiveness in the global clean energy market, according to a statement.
