Equal Pay Act Claims Down, But Maybe Not Out

Law360, New York (March 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Equal Pay Act claims filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission have reached their lowest numbers since the agency began tracking the statistics 15 years ago. However, the act's popularity may soon rebound as plaintiffs seek to bypass a U.S. Supreme Court decision that limited the statute of limitations on Title VII claims for wage discrimination.
