Bingham Sanctioned For Discovery Abuses In Firing Suit

Law360, New York (December 16, 2013, 7:03 PM EST) -- A California state judge on Wednesday sanctioned Bingham McCutchen LLP and ordered the firm to respond to discovery requests in a former associate’s suit claiming she was fired after developing a rare sleep disorder.

Former associate Hartwell Harris had filed a motion to compel responses to the first set of form interrogatories, arguing that Bingham’s supplemental discovery responses were not verified and that many were incomplete. She had also requested sanctions in the amount of $6,255.
