Colombia's Ecopetrol Says It Will Invest $10.6B In 2014

Law360, New York (December 16, 2013, 9:02 PM EST) -- Ecopetrol SA, Colombia's state-owned hydrocarbon giant and the country's largest company, told the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it would invest a total of $10.6 billion in 2014.

The main company will invest about $6.5 billion, while its subsidiaries and affiliates will kick in $4.1 billion. Of the main company's planned spending, $928 million will go into new exploration, $4.6 billion into production, with the rest spent on infrastructure, research and other essentials. The subsidiaries will put $632 million toward new exploration, Ecopetrol said....
