CFTC's Wetjen Named Acting Chairman

Law360, Los Angeles (December 16, 2013, 10:12 PM EST) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has chosen Commissioner Mark P. Wetjen to head up the agency as acting chairman until the administration wins confirmation of a nominee for the seat, the agency said Monday.

Wetjen, who was chosen unanimously by this fellow commissioners, will replace Gary Gensler when he steps down in January, the CFTC said in a statement.
