Canadian Regulator Approves 4 LNG Export Licenses

Law360, New York (December 17, 2013, 1:00 PM EST) -- A Canadian energy regulator on Monday approved 25-year liquefied natural gas export permits for four energy development projects on the country's Pacific coast, marking the latest effort by the Canadian LNG industry to access overseas markets.

Canada's National Energy Board approved permits filed by Prince Rupert LNG Exports Ltd., Pacific NorthWest LNG Ltd., WCC LNG Ltd. and Woodfibre LNG Export Pte. Ltd. after determining that the levels of their exports was not likely to pose a threat to the country's own domestic supply.
