Ambulance Co. Rural/Metro Wins Approval For Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, Wilmington (December 17, 2013, 9:54 PM EST) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge gave Rural/Metro Corp., owned by a private equity firm, the green light on Tuesday for a restructuring plan that will see the ambulance company exit Chapter 11 with its debt load cut in half.

At a hearing in Wilmington, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin J. Carey blessed Rural/Metro's proposed reorganization after overruling the sole objection to the plan.
