China Prods WTO To Review EU Fastener Duties

Law360, New York (December 19, 2013, 2:12 PM EST) -- The World Trade Organization's Dispute Settlement Body established a panel Wednesday to determine whether the European Union has complied with a prior tribunal decision that faulted the 28-nation bloc's anti-dumping duties on Chinese iron and steel fasteners in light of continued complaints from China.

The EU trimmed its duties on the Chinese fasteners following the decision over a year ago and has said repeatedly that it is now in compliance with the WTO's orders. But China has claimed that the changes have not gone far enough....
