Sigma Designs Waves Goodbye To Derivative Suits

Law360, New York (March 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sigma Designs Inc. has reached an agreement to settle shareholder derivative actions alleging the company engaged in improper practices when granting stock options, the company announced Monday.

The details of the settlement were not disclosed, but the deal would end pending federal and state derivative suits, the company said.

California-based Sigma, which makes system-on-a-chip semiconductors for the Blu-Ray and HDTV markets, said it was not admitting fault or wrongdoing in settling.
