Australia Fines Mitsubishi $2.2M In Appliance Pricing Probe

Law360, New York (December 20, 2013, 1:26 PM EST) -- Mitsubishi Electric Australia Pty. Ltd. has agreed to pay $2.2 million in fines to settle Australian regulators’ allegations that it pressured an appliance retailer to up the sale price of a Mitsubishi air-conditioning system and revoked the dealer’s discounts when it refused, according to a court order issued Thursday.
