FDA Issues Word Of Caution Over Tussionex

Law360 (March 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a strong warning regarding Tussionex in the wake of reports that the prescription cough medicine has been linked to numerous deaths and other near-fatal incidents due to misuse.

On Tuesday, the FDA alerted the public to the growing concern surrounding Tussionex, calling the drug which contains the powerful narcotic hydrocodone, a “potent” medication.
