Ameritox Lied About Evidence Destruction, Millennium Says

Law360, New York (January 2, 2014, 3:56 PM EST) -- Drug-testing company Millennium Laboratories Inc. on Monday fired back aggressively in Florida federal court against rival Ameritox Inc.’s new claims that it intentionally destroyed evidence of illegal sales practices, accusing its competitor of lying in a desperate bid to avoid a looming trial over allegedly unfair competition.

In opposing a request for a default judgment, Millennium complained that Ameritox had purposely misstated the nature of a 2011 email in which a company executive directed employees to delete correspondence in which they discussed ways to boost sales....
