Pachulski Stang Wins Bid To Toss Race Bias Suit

Law360 (March 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has dismissed an employment lawsuit against bankruptcy specialists Pachulski Stang Ziehl Young & Jones PC that alleged the law firm discriminated against a black supervisor who worked in a file room.

In an opinion handed down Monday, Delaware District Judge Gregory Sleet said Helen Martin, who worked for Pachulski Stang for three years, had produced little evidence of racial bias.

Martin sued the firm in May 2006, alleging violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Delaware State Discrimination Act. The...
