EU Steel Duties Draw 1st WTO Complaint From Russia

Law360, New York (January 6, 2014, 12:33 PM EST) -- Russia has launched its first World Trade Organization complaint since joining the multilateral body in August 2012, crying foul over the European Union's anti-dumping duties on steel products, the WTO said Monday.

In a request for consultations with the EU submitted Dec. 23, Russia said that the 28-nation bloc is applying anti-dumping duties on its imports in a way that violates several WTO agreements, the WTO said.
