Chief Justice Roberts Won't Halt ACA Implementation

Law360, New York (January 6, 2014, 8:35 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused a request to halt the implementation of the Affordable Care Act by two groups of doctors claiming the law is unconstitutional because revenue-raising legislation must start in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Chief Justice John Roberts denied without comment the application for injunction pending appellate review filed on Friday by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons Inc. and Alliance for Natural Health USA, which tried to block a requirement that doctors must enroll in an online provider system...
