Ashford Still Obama's Pick For Tax Court

Law360, New York (January 7, 2014, 1:43 PM EST) -- The White House on Monday again sent Tamara Ashford's U.S. Tax Court nomination to the Senate days after lawmakers returned the U.S. Department of Justice tax attorney's nomination to President Barack Obama.

Obama announced Ashford's nomination in September and her name was referred to the Senate Finance Committee that month. But on Jan. 3, Ashford's nomination was returned to the president since her nomination wasn't confirmed or rejected before the Senate adjourned for its winter recess.
