Israel Criminalizes 'Revenge Porn' In New Bill

Law360, New York (January 7, 2014, 6:05 PM EST) -- The Israeli Knesset on Monday passed a law that makes putting a sex tape online without the consent of all the involved parties punishable by up to five years in prison, a blow against so-called “revenge porn” websites.

The bill, introduced by Knesset member Yifat Kariv, specifically prohibits the online distribution of still or video images of a sexual nature without the subject’s full and free consent.
