Avanti Mining Explores $751M Molybdenum Project

Law360, New York (January 8, 2014, 2:55 PM EST) -- Avanti Mining Inc. said Wednesday that it's exploring a CA$812 million (US$751.6 million) development of the Kitsault molybdenum metal mine project in British Columbia and has hired BMO Capital Markets for consultation.

Besides molybdenum, the Kitsault project contains metallic veins like lead and silver, and already has some infrastructure in place, including road access, Avanti said. The mining company added that it will meet with five "interested" lenders to secure 60 percent of debt funding for the project.
