Strine Tapped To Lead Del. Supreme Court

Law360, Wilmington (January 8, 2014, 5:08 PM EST) -- Delaware Gov. Jack Markell on Wednesday tapped Leo E. Strine Jr., the dynamic and outspoken head of the state's influential Chancery Court, to be the next chief justice of the state Supreme Court.

If confirmed by Delaware's legislature, Chancellor Strine would become the eighth chief justice in the supreme court's history, and fill the seat vacated by Myron T. Steele in November to become the state's highest ranking judicial officer.
