United Spirits Mulling Whisky Sale To Appease Regulators

Law360, New York (January 9, 2014, 5:47 PM EST) -- Facing regulatory hurdles from a takeover by wine and spirits giant Diageo PLC, India-based United Spirits Ltd.’s board of directors approved a proposal to explore a sale of its Whyte & Mackay Scotch whisky brand, the company said Wednesday.
