KKR Doubles Goal With $2B For Latest Credit Fund

Law360, New York (January 9, 2014, 1:34 PM EST) -- KKR & Co. LP has closed a new fund focused on distressed debt investments after raising $2 billion, double what it had originally sought, the private equity firm said Thursday.

The KKR Special Situations Fund LP, which began soliciting investors in 2012, closed after receiving strong support from investors, including public and corporate pensions, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, foundations and private banking platforms, the firm said.
