Feds Bar SAC Tipster From Securities Industry

Law360, New York (January 9, 2014, 1:27 PM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday barred from the securities industry Sandeep Aggarwal, a former technology industry analyst who recently pled guilty in an insider trading case involving SAC Capital Advisors LP.

The SEC filed an administrative order barring Aggarwal from associating with any broker, dealer, investment adviser, municipal securities dealer, municipal adviser, transfer agent, or credit rating agency. Aggarwal is also barred from participating in penny stock offerings, the SEC said.

The ban comes after Aggarwal pled guilty Nov. 8 to one count...
