Stay Lifted In Rambus, Micron Patent Fight

Law360, New York (January 17, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The vicious infighting in the semiconductor industry is likely to heat up in the coming weeks, with a judge lifting a stay of proceedings in the patent infringement suit between rival chip makers Rambus and Micron.

The suit was originally filed in 2000, but has been on hold since 2002 after a judge stayed proceedings pending a federal appeal in a case between Rambus and semiconductor maker Hynix Inc.
