Treasury To Exempt Volunteer Firefighters From ACA Mandate

Law360, New York (January 10, 2014, 6:18 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury largely will exempt volunteer firefighters and emergency responders from the Affordable Care Act's health coverage mandate, it said Friday, responding to growing concern that the organizations could be forced to pay penalty taxes if they don't comply.
