Utility To Buy Power From Planned $400M Mo. Wind Farm

Law360, New York (January 14, 2014, 5:05 PM EST) -- Element Power US has struck a power purchase agreement with utility company Kansas City Power & Light for electricity generated at Mill Creek Wind Farm in Missouri, an upcoming 200-megawatt project worth $400 million, the companies said Tuesday.

Mill Creek is set to be spread across 25,000 acres leased from 100 landowners. Element Power said it hoped to begin construction in the third quarter and to start operating by the end of 2015. The wind farm would be Missouri's largest.
