TransAlta, Duet Form JV To Build $178M Pipeline In Australia

Law360, New York (January 16, 2014, 3:22 PM EST) -- A subsidiary of Canada-based TransAlta Corp. has formed a joint venture with a unit of Australian energy investor Duet Group to build and operate a $178 million natural gas pipeline in Western Australia, the companies said Thursday.

TransAlta subsidiary TEC Pilbara Pty Ltd. has teamed up with Duet subsidiary DBP Development Group to launch the Fortescue River Gas Pipeline Joint Venture, which will run a 168-mile pipeline from the Dampier-to-Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline to TransAlta’s power station at Fortescue Metals Group Ltd.’s Solomon Hub in Western...
