Pa. Gov., AG Dismissed From Gay Marriage Suit

Law360, Philadelphia (January 16, 2014, 2:36 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania state judge agreed Thursday to dismiss the governor and attorney general from a suit challenging the constitutionality of a state law banning gay marriage, leaving the secretary of health as the sole defendant.

After an hour-long hearing in Harrisburg, Commonwealth Court Judge Dan Pellegrini issued the order from the bench, after attorneys for Gov. Tom Corbett agreed to continue as part of the case for the purposes of discovery.
