Pa. Says Court Clerk Can’t Challenge Gay Marriage Ban

Law360, Philadelphia (January 17, 2014, 2:58 PM EST) -- Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett’s legal team told the state Supreme Court on Thursday that the constitutionality of a state law banning gay marriage was not at issue in an appeal over a county official’s unilateral decision to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
