EU Fronts €50 Million For Water Research Projects

Law360, New York (January 21, 2014, 3:01 PM EST) -- The European Commission has approved €50 million ($67.7 million) in funding for 11 new water-related projects aimed at promoting innovative solutions to tackle water pollution and agricultural production, it announced Tuesday.

The €50 million in funds are included in a 2013 call for proposals under the European Union's research and innovation budget package called the “Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.” It will involve partners from 19 European countries, the commission said.
