Mylan Sues Insys Over Attempt To Cut Off Distribution Deal

Law360, Washington (January 23, 2014, 3:22 PM EST) -- Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. on Tuesday sued Insys Therapeutics Inc. in Arizona federal court, alleging the drug developer had wrongly tried to end a distribution deal for anti-nausea drug dronabinol, citing a nonexistent dispute for the attempted contract termination.

Insys had signed an exclusive deal with Mylan in May 2011 to distribute the drug, but has twice “unjustifiably” attempted to end the contract between the companies without following the terms of the agreement, according to Mylan.
