FDA To Stop All Heparin At The Border For Testing

Law360, New York (March 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After a series of deaths, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has ordered that all heparin imports be stopped at border control for further inspection of the blood thinner, which is at the center of an international recall.

FDA officials revealed Friday that the agency was taking the step as reports of more adverse reactions associated with heparin continued to pour in from around the world.
