FERC Stops Fuel Data Collection For Electric Plants

Law360, New York (March 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Determining that the collection of cost and quality data for electric-plant fuel was too costly, the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said Monday it would cease its monthly study starting April 16.

In the federal register, FERC said that it would amend its regulations to eliminate collecting FERC Form Number 423, called “Monthly Report of Cost and Quality of Fuels for Electric Plants,” despite some opposition.
