Alaska Gov. Floats Bill To Advance $45B Gasline

Law360, Los Angeles (January 24, 2014, 7:22 PM EST) -- Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell pitched legislation Friday that would enable the state to take equity in a $45 billion liquefied natural gas project as an equity partner to Exxon Mobil Corp., ConocoPhillips, BP PLC and TransCanada Corp.

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources committed earlier this month to join in the project. Parnell’s bill grants it the legal ability to do so.
