House Votes To Bar Federal Abortion Funding

Law360, Washington (January 28, 2014, 9:24 PM EST) -- The U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a bill that would permanently ban federal funding for abortions and prevent Affordable Care Act subsidies from going to insurance plans that cover the procedure, with Republicans saying the bill was necessary to close a loophole in existing law.
