EPA Says Nev. Road Project Needs Tweaks

Law360, New York (January 28, 2014, 6:40 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has opposed a permit for the second phase of a road project linking Reno and Sparks in northern Nevada, telling the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that the plan is deficient.

The Corps has the power to approve the road, proposed by officials with the area's Regional Transportation Commission, which had battles opponent activists in court. The controversial road will run through 4.5 miles of wetland in Rosewood Lakes.
