Fla. Gov. Plans Tax Cuts, Debt Reduction In Proposed Budget

Law360, Miami (January 29, 2014, 5:32 PM EST) -- After revealing pieces of his “It's Your Money Tax Cut Budget” over the past week, Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Wednesday unveiled his entire proposed 2014-15 budget that aims to cut taxes by $500 million, reduce the state's debt and eliminate government waste.

Scott reiterated his goals of reducing the tax on commercial leases and cutting $400 million from motor vehicle registration fees and added plans to pay down $170 million of the state's debt and cut $287 million in wasteful government spending.
